The kids love to play in the pool with daddy. Daddy will be the monster, chasing them all around. Vincy likes to sit on daddy's shoulder.

Dance

Daddy bought a kinect dance game and the meimei loves it. Whenever we play kinect, she will request to play the dance game. She wanted to dance to a lady singer song. So gor gor just anyhow chose this song named "California gurls" cos the mannequin dancing inside was a lady. Her first time dancing to the song and this song has become her favourite dance track.

Bathrobe

As it is very cold in the pool downstairs, we decided to get bathrobe for the kids to wear after swimming. Went to Robinson to get the junior size but thought it was too big for Vincy so we only bought the blue colour one for Clarence.

Vincy was very sad when she realised we did not buy for her. Told her it was too big for her but she still demanded to have one. So we let her try gor gor's bathrobe. It was big but since it did not touch the floor, we promised to get one for her next time.

Got a pink colour one for her later.

Punggol Riverside Promenade

We went to Punggol Riverside Promenade for dinner before Clarence's piano lesson 3 weeks ago. Since we still had time after dinner, we took a walk at the riverside. Daddy went back to the car to get their scooter and wore his skates.

Vincy wants a piggy bank. She told us in the car the other day that she was going to steal her gor gor's angry bird piggy bank. So the 二十四孝daddy bought one for his princess. We went to choose together and gave her a surprise when she came back home after school. She was so fascinated with it.

Generous gor gor donated all his remaining pocket money to her piggy bank that day.

Daddy and mummy are going to Angsana Bintan today for a 3 days 2 nights trip without the kids this time. It has been 6 years ago since we took our last trip together without the children. Left the kids with my parents yesterday before going for my dear's company Dinner and Dance. Looking forward to the trip!

Mummy was lazy last Saturday so I told Vincy to request for Daddy to go to her piano class with her. Finally it was Daddy's turn. Good chance for them to bond!

Clarence didn't want to follow me while waiting for meimei's class to end. He knew I would be walking around shopping, he rather sat outside the music room playing with the ipad.

So mummy happily grabbed the chance to walk around the mall.

We experimented cooking with our Happycall pan. We bought chicken thighs from supermarket and marinated it with char siew sauce (all my dear's idea).

After slicing away the burnt portion, the meat taste quite yummy. The meat was not burnt at all inside. It is still very tender. Guess that is the miracle of the happycall pan. Food is fresh!

Another experiment yesterday night, this time honey chicken wings. Not burnt like the other time. Verdict: Successful! Will be bringing the honey chicken wings to the CNY potluck gathering with friends tonight.

As usual, we went over to my mother-in-law place to 拜年in the afternoon. Clarence was very popular with the all the meimeis yesterday. Maybe because daddy gel his hair and he looked handsome? Celeste wanted him to carry her.

We attended Clarence's CNY class party last Friday. This is the first time I attend his class party. I believe this will also be the last time cos when I go back to work, I won't be able to excuse myself from school function to go to his party. He was very happy to see Daddy and Mummy at the party.

We had our 1st reunion dinner with my mother-in-law side last Saturday. This year, they came to our place for the dinner. We had steamboat that night. Disruptive

Vincy sleeps in her own room now but she has this problem of wetting her bed, even with the diaper on. The urine leaks out of the diaper because she tosses and turns and sleeps on her side. So sometimes she will wake up in the middle of the night and cry cos her bed is wet. Then we have no choice but to let her sleep between us in our room.

Nowadays, even if she doesn't wet her bed, she will sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and start crying cos she wants to go toilet or she has a nightmare. It is rather disruptive to our sleep. There were certain days when she would cry at 2 plus am then 4 plus am again. How I wish she can sleep through the night. For the past few days, she did not wake up and cry. Keeping my fingers crossed, hope it stays that way.

Last Sunday

We went to Bishan Park to walk the dogs together last Sunday morning. Clarence pulling Gemie and Vincy pulling Jewel.

Discovered a sand pit in the park and this was actually Vincy's first time on the swing. We played at the playground while Daddy continued walking the dogs.

After walking the dogs, we went to MacDonald to have breakfast.

Busy Busy

Starting from January, Vincy has 3 classes on Saturdays. Swimming class in the morning:

Then ballet class after swimming class. So we will dress her in her ballet outfit after showering.

After ballet, we have a short break for lunch before she goes for her piano class. Super busy!

She wants me to go in with her for lesson cos she says Daddy dun know piano.

So we are busy rushing for classes on Saturdays. And she still wants me to enrol her in art class. She says she wants to learn art after her piano class. Faint!

Taking medicine

My kids took turns to fall sick during the last week of holiday and first week of school. First it was Clarence, he had fever for 3 days then it was Vincy's turn. Her fever subsided within a day. Fortunately for me, my kids have no problem taking medicine since young. In fact, they love to take medicine (sound crazy rite). When one of them see the other taking medicine, he or she will tell me he is sick and need the medicine too. They often say medicine taste good.

Vincy has turned into a terrible little monster. She is in the terrible and horrible 3 yr old phase. She can be sweet this moment and cheeky the next. She is very stubborn and insists her way. She throws tantrums whenever she is unhappy. She whines and cries at the littlest things and she has very very itchy fingers. She touches and plays with everything. Faint!

She loves to irritate her gor gor by imitating him. She just gets on her gor gor's nerves and makes him angry.

She loves to bully her daddy. She wants daddy to take off her shoes when we are back home. She demands to sit on his shoulder or get him to carry her when we are out. And daddy always gives in to her. Daddy is spoiling her! She is the 野蛮公主 at home.

Clarence is in primary 2 this year. Mummy took 8 mths of leave so that I can spend quality time with my family and take a break from work too. Hence I can send and pick Clarence from school everyday now. After our move, Clarence no longer needs to wake up at 5.30am in the morning to catch the 6.05am bus. He wakes up at 6.30am now.

We were so blur on the first day. He was supposed to report to his class so we thought since he is in P2, his classroom will be upstairs but his classroom is actually the same classroom as last year. So we went up and down searching for his class.

A simple birthday

Got a treat from my dear to go to Aramsa Spa on the eve of my birthday. We sent the kids to bed at 9pm and went for a 90 minutes couple massage session. The massage was so relaxing. My dear fell asleep in less than 15 minutes. He said it was a waste of money for him. We walked home after our massage treatment. It was just like going to the resort. So shiok!
On my birthday, hubby bought a slice of cake after picking Vincy from school and I was surprised to see Vincy running in with cake in her hand, shouting," Happy Birthday Mummy."

New Year at USS

We went to Universal Studio on New Year's Day to try out the highly acclaimed Transformers ride and other rides that we missed last time. We bought express passes for all of us to minimise the waiting time. Express passes were great, no need to queue for so long and get the best seats too. We went early in the morning and the first ride we dashed to is the Transformers ride. We did not use the express pass for the first time cos we wanted to take it again later. Poor meimei did not meet the minimum height requirement so she could not take the ride.

While mummy and meimei waited for daddy and gorgor to come out, a kind hearted man offered to help us take a picture.

Mummy waited for the Lee family to come out from the ride and pass Vincy to them before I went in to join Daddy and Clarence for the ride.

The ride was fantastic! Very good!

Next we went to take the Accelerator. My dear was giddy from the transformer ride so he closed his eyes while the Accelerator spin round and round. Clarence chose to close his eyes cos he was scared. This was the posture for Clarence in whatever trilling ride we took later.

Clarence and I took Revenge of the Mummy ride and Clarence was so scared. He was screaming and crying. After Ancient Egypt, we went to The Lost World.
Dino-soarin:

We tried the Canopy Flyer this time. We missed it last time cos the queue was too long.

Vincy was very brave. She took the ride with daddy and screamed when she was scared. Clarence simply bent down and refused to open his eyes cos he was scared.

Caught the Waterworld show again. Daddy and Clarence in the soak zone. Clarence t-shirt and shorts were wet despite wearing the poncho cos the staff just pulled his poncho and poured the water in.

Vincy did not like the loud noise from the show, so she covered her eyes throughout the show.

Crate Adventure: This ride was not open when we went last time. Clarence loves this ride. We took it twice.

Vincy's favourite: King Julien's beach party go-round. She took this ride 4 times.

We watched Shrek 4D Adventure twice and took the Enchanted Airways. Clarence bent down and closed his eyes throughout the roller coaster ride. He kept telling me he did not know what was happening. I asked him to open his eyes to see for himself but he refused. Ha!

Vincy"s first swim class

The coach asked her to hold on to a swimming board and walk across the pool. She held the board with one hand and stretched out the other hand to the coach. She wanted the coach to hold her hand and walk together. So cute!

She followed Domi throughout the lesson. Whenever Domi went, she would go and find him. No wonder the coach said Vincy was Domi's little girlfriend.

Learn to Dive

Signed up Clarence for a 3 day "Learn to Dive" course at Toa Payoh Swimming Complex during the Dec holidays. He enjoyed the course cos his best buddy Issac was at the course too.They started the day with some dry run exercise on the trampoline and mats. Then they went for a break and after that, it was water splashing time.

He attempted a few 5m jumps on day 2. Daddy and Mummy were so proud of him. We never expected him to jump from so high, in fact we were worried if he dared to jump down from the 3m platform.

He tried a 3m head down 3m dive on the last day but because he was scared, his technique was wrong, His hands and head did not reach the water first so he was crying when he landed. His face and chest were all red.

Ice skating (part2)

Redeemed 2 passes for the kids to skate few weeks ago. This was Vincy's first time trying out ice skating. Gearing up:

Her feet was too small for the shoes, they need to put tapes to tape her shoes to the skating shoes. The excited gal:

When she was in the rink, she held on tight to the hand of a staff there. The lady walked with her around the rink.

Oops, almost fell! She was scared and refused to hold on to the penguin for support.

Merry Christmas

We went to Paragon to buy a new Christmas tree cos the old one was too big for our new house. Meime posing with a shiny cap!

We invited a few close friends over for a Christmas potluck gathering at our place yesterday. The children had fun playing with Xbox, toys, watching 3D movie. Even the daddies had a fun pitting their skills at the Xbox Kinect boxing and sports game.

First night

The children spent their first night at our new home with no problems at all. They did not cry in the middle of the night nor ask to sleep with us in our room. Gor gor's bed has been raised higher so that we can put a desk underneath. Space constraint.

Sleeping soundly:

Actually the one I was worried about was meimei, this was her first time sleeping alone. She used to sleep in our room or gor gor's room. Fortunately, she had no problem adjusting to her new room. Good!
I love the canopy on her bed, so princess like. She got so angry when I lie on her bed the other day and told her I was a princess too. She cried and demanded to be the only princess! Lol!

SCMS 2011

We got up early and went for the SCMS 2011 kids dash, no hiccups this year. 2 eager kids ready to run. Clarence will be running alone this year since he is seven, Vincy chose to run with daddy (what a relief for mummy).

It was tough bringing Clarence to the starting point cos there were too many people, he managed to squeeze in and found Isaac there by himself. I wonder how he did that. There were so many kids there! He ran with Isaac and they came back together. Surprising, he did not complain it was tiring this year.

Fell

Vincy had a bad fall the other day when I brought the kids to the playground to play. That was the first time we went to the playground since we shifted in. My poor gal fell down and hurt her elbow and knee before she started playing in the playground. She cried for a long time and whined for the whole night till I put her to bed.

She was crying and limping for the whole evening, actually it wasn't that serious, she was just very whiny. She kept asking for daddy to come home and "sayang" her. Video of her crying when we walked back home about 20 mins after her fall.

Few weeks ago, when mummy went for eyelash extension, I "forced" all 3 of them (including daddy) to have a haircut while waiting for me.Found all of them so untidy. They all look handsome and pretty after the haircut.

Bubble bath

Let the kids try out the bubble bath I bought the other day. This was the first time they played in the bathtub filled with bubbles.

It was fun, fun, fun! They have been asking for more bubble bath but I have to reject cos really waste a lot of water. My dear says better try out now cos when we see the water bill next month, we may not want to have bubble bath anymore, lol!

Thanks to Auntie Jaslyn who gave Clarence a complimentary pass to ice skate in Velocity.

Clarence enjoyed the skating session a lot!

Meimei wanted to skate too so we had to find things to buy to redeem 2 complimentary passes for Clarence and Vincy the following week.

Vincy's second concert performance

We attended Vincy's second concert performance on 19 Nov 2011. Took some pictures of the pictures the school took during rehearsal.

The moment we have been waiting for: her turn to perform!

Daddy, Mummy and gor gor were so proud of her. She danced so well this year. We were scared that history may repeat itself like last year where she just stood on the stage and refused to move.

However, she was very moody and cranky during thhe finale. She was doing all the actions with her "buay song" face. Asked her why she was not smiling during the finale, she told me she was looking for mummy and gor gor.

As we are moving soon, we have decided to donate this little car to Vincy's childcare centre. Vincy was very unhappy when I told her we are leaving the car there. I let her drove around for a while before bringing her home. Her teacher also promised to let her drive the car tomorrow.

Later when I asked her how come she was not smiling in the photo, she told me she was sad. She can't bear to give away her car.

We signed Vincy up for the Music Wonderland class in Yamaha last week. While we were there registering her, she was so enthusiastic about the class. She imagined playing the keyboard on the organ. Glad to see her enthusiasm, hope it lasts!

Project-Based Learning

Vincy did PBL in her childcare centre about a month ago. Mummy had no time to update cos I am very busy with work and the renovation for our new home. Back to her PBL, the N1 children have chosen the insect-grasshopper as their theme project.

Her scrapbook: There were detailed information about the whole project and pictures of Vincy at work making different handicrafts. The teachers also brought them to Butterfly park in Sentosa to see the real insects.

Vincy is learning this 丑小鸭 dance for her year end concert. This will be her last concert with Lovingkids cos I will be changing a childcare for her soon. Mummy can only make out 丑小鸭,

She requested to perform in the concert this year, so I hope she will really dance on the stage this year unlike last year when she just stood motionless there.

Creativity at work

Clarence's Maths teacher was absent the other day and he made a Captain America shield using drawing paper and colour pencils. Too bad mummy threw it away cos he said he made it wrongly. Then on the second day, he made a Spiderman mask during the teacher's absence. My boss was happy with his son's creativity. Cos I told him no more buying of toys this year since we already got the Xbox for him. So he resorted to making toys that he like. Haha! (Actually he prefers to buy the real ones.)

Although the mask was not that nicely made, mummy still took pictures for him to see when he grows up. He got his classmate to cut out the eye area and daddy taught him to attach the rubber bands so that he can put it on.

A bit too big, haha!

Good effort, son! I told him to measure his face and eye area before he make another mask next time.

I am so proud of him. I asked him if his Maths teacher give out medals in term 2. He said yes. When I asked him how come he did not mention about the medal to me in term 2, he told me because he did not get any medal in term 2 so he did not tell me about it. Faint!

Found some of these coupons in Clarence's wallet the other day. He is trying to collect these coupons to exchange for some toy in school. Every time he purchase cereal from the breakfast stall, he will get a coupon. He needs 10 to exchange for a toy.

He came home on Monday with an iron-man toy. He managed to collect 10 coupons to exchange for the toy.

Mummy rushed to pick Vincy and drop off Clarence at school at 4pm yesterday for his P1 CL speech and drama cum Mid-Autumn Festival celebration in school yesterday. When I came back from my retail therapy session, I saw my happy boy in class having his snack before changing into his costume.

In a rush to send them up the stage, the teacher forgot to attach the wireless microphone to Clarence, so we could not hear his lines clearly when he was performing on stage. :(

Relaxing Sunday

We went over to our new house last Sunday to let the kids swim there. While the kids were having fun in the pool, bought MacDonalds breakfast for us and had a pool side breakfast there.

Vincy is getting more daring in the pool now. She dared to move around in the wading pool without holding on the side.

After the swim, they went over to the playground to play.

Then both of them went for a dip in the jacuzzi pool before calling it a day.

Found some flowers in the pool so mummy put the flowers on the ears to pose for a picture.

So happy to see the kids enjoying themselves in the pool and playground. Vincy even asked us to go back to the empty house after lunch. :) Glad that we did not sell away the house after all. We enjoyed our relaxing Sunday.

11th Wedding Anniversary

We celebrated our 11th Wedding Anniversary yesterday at this restuarant named Old Hong Kong in my Village yesterday. Ordered my favourite sharks fin and Peking duck. It was delicious! How time flies, from the 2 of us to the 4 for us now. It was 11 solid years for us. We had ups and downs in our relationship but we managed to ride through them together. Wishing for more good days ahead :)

Birthday Party @ Bird Park

Clarence was invited to his classmate Marcus's birthday party @ Jurong Bird Park. He was very happy to be there with his classmates. Watching the bird show together: (Ignatius, Birthday boy Marcus, Clarence and Ethan)

Marcus's mummy ordered a very nice angry bird cake for him. We all went "Wow" when we see the cake.

Clarence went to West Coast Park with his Dance CCA teachers, instructor and members on 5 Sep. He queued up to buy a Happy Meal at MacDonald's all by himself and had a lot of fun playing in the park.

Went to United Square and they have this promotion where you spend $80, kids will be entitled to a cooking session. Clarence went for the Kaya fondue making class. They started with simple dining etiquette then proceed to the class.

New place

After a long wait, finally got the keys to our new place. I brought Vincy over to see the new place last week. Clarence has seen the place before cos he collected the keys with me earlier on.

Their first dip in the pool at our new house. We had the whole pool to ourselves cos most of the residents have not moved it yet, otherwise it is going to be very crowded then. They enjoyed playing in the pool so much.

Lovingkids Sports Day

It is Lovingkids Sports Day again. This year, mummy could not go and support Vincy cos it fell on PSLE Oral day, no way I could take leave. Entrusted the task of accompanying and photography to the school instead. Not very satisfactory performance though. They did not took videos of Vincy's competition to show me cos Vincy stick to them like glue and had to play the game with her so they could not take videos or pictures. Some photos of the event:

An Evening of Theatre 2011

Clarence attended Speech and Drama class in his school every week. So the school arranged An Evening of Theatre 2011 to showcase what they learnt in the classes.
Meimei waited patiently for her gor gor to perform.

His performance was scheduled to be the last, poor meimei waited and waited for her gor gor to come out. And when it was finally his turn, meimei could not make out which one was her gor gor. Faint! She kept asking where is her gor gor.

Maybe my expectation was too high, I think the performances were not that fantastic but there again, they only have an hour of practice every week so perhaps I should be more forgiving. The most important thing is the exposure and the fact that Clarence enjoyed himself.

Silly Meimei tried to tie the dog fur the other day. Guess she could not tie so she put her pink rubber band on Gem's head instead.

Clarence started learning scales 3 weeks ago. For the first week, he just need to play the G major for both hands separately. Then after a week of practice, he must start to combine the 2 hands and play the G major. It is not easy at all cos he must use certain finger for certain notes. This is his G major after 2 days of practice:

He has mastered the G and D major and will be learning the A major this week. I find it a bit tough to combine both hands cos I cannot do it myself despite my organ background. He will laugh at me when I struggle to play the G major.

I brought the kids to my mum's place last Saturday and while he was playing with his cousin, he ran and slam into the glass balcony door. The impact was quite huge thus he ended up a large ba lou gu:

Thanks to his Chinese teacher in school, Clarence is very interested in 西游记. His teacher has been telling them stories about 西游记 and the characters inside. So during the book fair in my school the other day, I bought 8 simple 西游记 books (with han yu pin yin) for him. He was very excited and has started reading. So far, he has finished reading 2 of the books. :)

Catholic High Funfair 2011

This is a back dated post. We went to Clarence's school Funfair in early July.

Vincy's first try on the motorcycle. She had some problems stepping on the power so the pupils in charge had to help her with it initially. She managed to move around by herself after a while.

Yes, the show and tell is back again this term. The topic this round is My Favourite person. My son chose me as his favourite person, and mummy is in charge of getting him to memorise and present. The mummy in the script is like a 虚构人物，too good to be true. Ha ha!

2nd Open Water Swim

Clarence went for his 2nd Open Water Swim at East Coast Park today. Waiting for his turn:

My boy is a real joker in the class, he was still swimming on the shore when he reached, making everyone laugh. When asked why he was swimming on the shore, he told me he was a stingray! Trying to be funny!

Vincy likes the dogs a lot nowadays. Sometimes, she tends to mix up the dogs' names. She will pat them every morning, especially Gem. She loves to lean on Gem. She is very buddy with Gem now.

Clarence's first Open Water Swim

Registered Clarence with his swimming coach for his first Open Water Swim in East Coast. Both of them happily waiting to go to the beach.

Vincy all geared up in her bikini and shorts outfit to play in the sand while waiting for Clarence to finish. But she was scared of the waves and the sand so she only played for less than 5 minutes. Only wear stylo then go and hide in the shade playing ipad and eating tidbits.

They started swimming short distances marked by some floating markers, then the markers were placed farther and farther away which means the distance became longer and longer. According to the coach, it was slightly more than 50m. Really tiring for my little boy, so small swimming in the big sea against the current. Good exposure and experience though. He was given a discount in one of the activities. He went 3 rounds instead of 4 cos he was too slow. They were required to swim a loop then jog on the beach and repeat.

I asked me how he felt about the training session, he said, "good". Later when I told him there will be another session 2 week later, he said, "HUH!" Haha, I believe that is he genuine reaction.
He said it was difficult to swim in the sea becos:
1) low visibility
2) strong currents pushing him away
3) kept drinking the salty sea water
4) his goggles was faulty, so he needed to keep stopping to adjust his goggles.

Haircut together

Getting Clarence ready for school reopening, so brought him for a haircut last Sunday to avoid last minute crowd this week. Since we were there, I also bought a ticket for Vincy to trim an inch off her hair.

Vincy was very serious during the haircut, she sat still and did not move while the hair stylist cut her hair. It was because when Clarence was having his haircut, reminded him not to move or else his ears might be cut off. So Vincy sat still to show us that she was better than her gor gor.

We met up with the Lees and went ice skating today. Lost my way while driving there and when I finally reached there, I could not find the way to the carpark entrance. I ended up driving in the opposite direction to get into the carpark. Luckily there was no car at that time, only a motorcycle. I did not realise I was in the opposite direction until I saw the weird look on the motorist face. Blur me! Lost my way when driving back home too. Luckily got the GPS to guide me home. Super stressed driving. That is why I seldom drive to places where I am not familiar with. I prefer my boss to drive us around.

I skated with Clarence today. I could move around without holding on to the side. Yeah! This is proof (I am in the centre of the ice skating rink) for my boss to see cos he said I kept holding on to him when we first went ice skating when we were 21 yrs old then.

After the skating session, we went for lunch then bowling.

Clarence was so funny at the bowling alley. The way he bowl is like throwing a bomb.

Clarence enjoyed bodyboarding very much initially, he even dare to change from the lying down position to kneeling down position with no hands. It was so much fun! He could not try the flowboard cos he did not meet the minimum height restriction.

However, after he had a bad bump and hurt his leg, he told me he do not want to do it anymore. Got to coax him to try again and took the opportunity to tell him not to give up when he encounter setbacks. He was afraid but went on trying.

Mummy and Clarence went to Junction 8 last week and redeemed this pass for Clarence:

He got to paddle the boat and he had the whole pool to himself cos there was nobody there in the afternoon.

After the paddling session, a clown made a balloon rifle for him and he got candy floss and a bottle of mineral water.

Everyday without fail, he will ask me if I am going to work the next day. When I tell him no, he will be very happy cos he need not go to student care and can stay at home with me.

Mummy regretted buying the Barbie pool for Vincy cos it was such a mess when they played with it. The floor was wet! Even when I put a mat underneath the pool, the surrounding got wet. But the kids were happy playing with it.

Down with HFMD

Vincy was down with fever last Monday. On Tuesday, I took her to the doctor and when the doctor asked her if her throat was painful, she replied yes. I immediately told the doctor not to trust her cos she is only 2 yrs plus. The doctor continued to ask her if she felt any pain in her tummy and ear, her answer was no. Then the doctor looked at me and told me she KNEW. After the doctor asked her to open her mouth to check, he told me she has HFMD.
So my small gal really knew when the pain was coming from. I under estimated her. So paiseh!
I took 4 days of childcare leave to stay at home to look after her. Her HFMD was not those serious type. Her fever was gone the next day and she was up and running around the house. I kept her occupied with Lego toys for those few days.

She needs a ticket to watch movies now. We went to watch Kung Fu Panda 2 and bought a ticket for her.

She cried during the movie. Not sure if she was scared of the fighting scenes or sad because the mummy and baby panda was being chased.
After the movie, sent the kids to Ah mah's house to stay. This was Vincy's first time staying there. She was very brave and did not cry or look for me. Ha!

Clarence's Semestral 1 Progress Report

Clarence got his Semestral 1 Progress Report yesterday.

Frankly speaking, as a parent, I found it super stressful to have so many bite-sized tests in a semestral. I found myself struggling to find time to prepare and revise each test with Clarence. The numerous hours put in for his oral and show and tell preparation...... So to a certain extent, this progress report belongs to ''us'' instead of him alone. I think unless your child is those super motivated and intelligent, close monitoring is still essential.
Mathematics:

He tends to be careless in his Maths and he needs more drilling. I felt guilty when I look at his Maths marks cos I should have spent more time revising his Maths with him.
English:

Chinese

No complaints for his English and Chinese results but I still prefer our old way of CA and SA rather than this holistic assessment.

Received a letter from the school last week.

Clarence was selected for Dance CCA. He was a bit disappointed cos he preferred Wushu to dance but it seemed that the teacher wanted him in dance more than Wushu since Dance is one of their "star" CCA in school. Actually we thought he is better at Wushu too. But on second thoughts, we think he might like Dance too since he likes pop songs now. His favourite is "Never say never" now. My naive boy even told me to cancel away the Dance and replace it with Wushu. We decided to let him try out the Dance next term since it was offered to him. This was what he learnt from Isaac sometime ago and he said the gor gors in Dance were also doing it.

Rides in the Zoo

Our friends of the Zoo membership expired in March so we went to the Zoo today to sign up for another year of membership since Vincy has been asking us to bring her to the Zoo to see real animals.

Clarence wanted to go and feed the goats. Hence we went to Kidzworld and to my surprise, Vincy was willing to ride the pony. For all past trips the Zoo, she has been declining my offer to ride the pony but she said yes today.

He was still smiling when he sat on the pony but when the pony started moving, he started crying. We were laughing at him today for crying on his first pony ride.

After the pony ride, we went for the horse carriage ride.

I prefer the old route cos the horse will gallop for a distance unlike now in the Kidzworld, the horse just trotted.

Daddy bought a Barbie vacation house for meimei last week. After assembling the house, meimei and gor gor started playing with Barbie and the new doll house immediately.

Yes, Clarence was playing Barbie doll. I told him boys dun play with dolls but he said he want to play with meimei so I just let him.

The next day when we went out for lunch, meimei traded the ipad for gor gor's Ben 10 mini characters. She was happily playing with the characters.

Losing his Central Incisor

My boy has been complaining of a shaky tooth recently. Upon examination, I realised that his upper Central Incisor was the shaky one.
Took a picture of my handsome boy with all his teeth.

Today he lost his upper Central Incisor while playing with meimei in the car. Funny thing was, he did not even realise he drop his tooth. When he alighted from the car, I saw a hole in between his teeth and asked him where was his tooth. He went back to the car and found the tooth on the car seat. He said it must have dropped when meimei punch his mouth just now.
